Stage 5 of The ENDURrun is a 16 mile (25.6km) race at Chicopee Ski Park in Kitchener, Ontario. It’s five gruelling laps of single track trails, grass, gravel access roads, wooden boardwalks, and even a set of stairs. Each lap has approximately 150m of elevation gain!
There is a reason why this stage is the day after the rest day; it is described by many as the most difficult stage. Two runners were were forced by injury to withdraw: Ultimate Joanne and Sport Sean.
Traditionally, registration for the next year is opened during Stage 5. Today at noon, The ENDURrun 2015 registration opened, and we immediately received an entry from a familiar face (and twitter handle!):
